Johnson Controls has extended its trademarked TempMaster line to include OmniElite single-package rooftop units, which are available in 50- to 65-ton cooling capacities. The new units offer a 20 percent smaller footprint than competitors and feature double-wall construction, single-point power connection and efficiency ratings that exceed ASHRAE 90.1 standards, company officials said. The units are optimized for replacement refrigerant HFC-410A and have double-sloped drain pans to protect against corrosion and bacterial growth for improved air quality, multistep capacity control, high-efficiency scroll compressors and fully modulating gas heat.
