Central Arizona College’s Maricopa campus is now outfitted with 133,000 square feet of sustainable roof and wall panels from Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp.

The metal roofing supplier provided 90,000 square feet of its mechanically seamed 22-gauge Magna-Loc roof panel and 20,000 square feet of T5 trapezoidal rib panels. Metal Sales also supplied 23,000 square feet of pre-weathered flat sheets that were fabricated, weathered and installed by Kovach Building Enclosures, which selected Metal Sales for the project.

“We chose Metal Sales because we have completed a number of successful projects with them throughout the years,” said Rudy Hernandez, project manager for Kovach. “CAC Maricopa was a fast-paced project and Metal Sales manufactured panels over 80 feet long in a very short period of time.”

The project team included the building owner, Pinal County Community College District; architect SmithGroup JJR of Phoenix; general contractor Core Construction of Phoenix; and Metal panel fabricator and installer Kovach Building Enclosures of Chandler, Ariz.
