Carrier Corp.’s “cool” playhouse will be shown Aug. 3-19 as part of an Indiana State Fair display sponsored by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis.

The local Habitat’s campaign is called “Play it forward,” and it encourages businesses and individuals to create unique places for children to play. HVAC equipment maker Carrier is one of 20 companies taking part this year. The playhouses will tour the Indianapolis area until the end of the month, when they are scheduled to be auctioned off as part of a Habitat 25th anniversary fundraiser.

“Carrier employees and volunteers have built 20 Habitat for Humanity homes in Indianapolis since 1991,” said Michelle Caldwell, Carrier brand manager. “We are excited to continue this legacy of community involvement by building a Carrier playhouse for Habitat’s Play It Forward playhouse program.”

Carrier used clouds and green in its 6-by-6-foot design, which includes Carrier toy vans and a highway play scape mat.
