CertainTeed has released WideWrap, a new fiberglass duct wrap product with 5-foot width. WideWrap is designed to work with 5-foot duct sections, eliminating the need for additional fabrications. The company says this saves time and labor costs for contractors, as it allows them to use less expensive in-shop labor to wrap ducts and with a standard application of duct wrap, installations will have a cleaner look. In addition, CertainTeed claims the new product can decrease jobsite waste by up to 20 percent.
