Memorial Day is right around the corner and the Snips staff will have a long weekend. For some, this three-day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. We hope that you get some rest and relaxation before the summer cooling season really picks up.
With that in mind, you might be busy this summer. HVAC business has been difficult for the last few years, but statistics are
pointing towards a possible upturn. For example, the U.S. Commerce Department
reported that demand for new homes rose in April. Home sales increased by
23,000 in April over the previous month. While sales are still down from last
year, they are climbing month over month.
General Contractors of America also found that construction employment grew in
114 metropolitan cities. While construction employment is still down or level
in many other cities, the upward trend is continuing. It may not be happening
as fast as we’d like, but we are going in the right direction.
your Memorial Day weekend, focus on these numbers. It’s a reminder that hard
work is paying off and customers are ready to buy. Rest, recharge and then get
ready to make money this summer.
