That means it's system checkup time -- or at least it should.

We're only a couple days away from the start of spring. After what seemed like an especially long and cold winter, I'm eager to get started on spring cleaning and other warmer-weather activities.

I know for many businesses and homeowners, the spring checklist includes a tuneup of their HVAC systems -- or at least it should.

Nevertheless, I also expect the economy may be forcing some people to postpone checkups and other maintenance they see as optional, even if they may end up paying for it later in higher repair costs.

What are you seeing in your area? Are homeowners and businesses calling or are you finding many think an HVAC system check can wait until later when the economy improves?
