The Metal Construction Association is offering a metal roofing certification program to help companies differentiate their products from the competition. The program is open to paint and coatings companies, roofing product manufacturers, coil processors and roll formers.

The welding program will use the Tulsa school’s curriculum to teach techniques such as torch cutting, alloy welding and safety.

Of six programs the Energy Department has recognized for aligning with the Better Buildings project, two are ASHRAE’s, the society pointed out.

Ottawa, Ontario-based Seresco Technologies has opened the Seresco Dehumidifier Training and Certification School, a two-tiered training course on mechanical dehumidification and natatorium operation.

Officials with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, said the program will benefit the nation’s children.
