AQC Industries donates ductwork to Minn. Habitat for Humanity project
AQC Industries Inc. donated 200 feet of BlueDuct pre-insulated underground duct to a Habitat for Humanity project in Willmar, Minnesota.
The BlueDuct was recommended and installed by Willmar-based commercial and residential HVAC provider Chappell Central Inc.
“AQC is committed to helping families and the community build reliable, sustainable shelters,” said Jim Lubratt, vice president of AQC Industries. “The BlueDuct is pre-insulated for energy efficiency and doesn’t require added insulation, drain tile or cement trench structures.”
AQC Industries also worked with BlueDuct distributor Schwab, Vollhaber, Lubratt to provide engineering services to help design an optimal duct system for the 1,400-square-foot home.
“The BlueDuct is the only underground air duct system we specify and install,” said Paul Krueger, project foreman and sales representative at Chappell Central. “An advanced duct system, it is easy to install and doesn’t leak or corrode. In addition, it meets or exceeds building codes. It effortlessly passed building-code inspection, including installation and pressure testing.”
Chappell Central also installed the furnace, gas piping, air-to-air exchange ventilation and bathroom ventilation.
