The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. has hired two new staff members.

Dan Manole is now the AMCA’s director of certification, where he will lead the association’s certified ratings program. Manole has more than 22 years of experience in certification and accreditation, as well as experience in mechanical engineering.

John Cowie has been hired as the association’s advocacy manager, where he will represent AMCA and its members’ technical positions on committees and at hearings of code bodies and standards-setting organizations, such as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

The AMCA has also announced Joseph Brooks, formerly the director of certification, is now the director of standards and publications. Tim Orris, formerly the director of standards and publications, is now the director of member services.

“With these staff changes, AMCA is positioning itself to respond to current and future challenges as they pertain to federal regulations, national codes, state codes and standards,” said Mark Stevens, AMCA’s executive director. “AMCA members and the industries we serve will benefit considerably by the new talent we have brought into the association, while retaining our tenured directors in important roles.”
