J.F. Ahern Co. employees worked an estimated 2.14 million hours for the 2013 fiscal year.
The Fond du Lac, Wis., mechanical contractor says the total was about 5,000 hours above its previous record, set in 2008.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work of every employee on our job sites, as well as the offices and shops,” said Tripp Ahern, the company’s president and CEO. “What’s especially encouraging is that the increase in hours worked was due to an overall increase in activity across the company. The work was spread across our entire range of mechanical, fire protection and pipe fabrication services, and was also representative of our entire geographic reach.”
The hours were logged at construction sites across the U.S. Ahern’s 2013 work included construction and service projects valued at more than $100 million.
