The Specialty Trades Excellence Program now offers certification in installation, design, maintenance and commissioning of direct-digital control HVAC systems, officials announced.

“These certifications validate the level of expertise required to manage sustainable and ‘smart’ buildings and keep up with the rapidly growing building automation field,” said Tom McConnell, executive director of the program. He added that while many manufacturers offer programming certification, “there was a void of standardized certification.”
