General Tools & Instruments is offering a new refrigerant leak detector capable of detecting all commercially available refrigerant gases. The RLD400 model can also detect environmentally-friendly blends of refrigerants, such as R-22 and R-1234YF.

The RLD400’s proprietary semiconductor sensor has more than 300 hours of operation or 10 years normal use. Three sensitivity levels let users choose the right level for specific environments. The detector also has automatic calibration and reset, which the company says will ensure accurate leak readings not distorted by ambient levels.
