The National Association of Home Builders will honor its members who have done the most to educate the industry at next week’s International Builders’ Show.

The NAHB will present its Educators of the Year Awards Monday, prior to the start of the Jan. 22-24 show.

"The educators being honored are being recognized for their dedication and longstanding commitment to elevating the home building industry through education," said Gaye Orr, head of the NAHB Education Committee and a sales and marketing professional from Raleigh, N.C. "By sharing their expertise as instructors and serving as mentors, they have made it possible for builders, remodelers and others in the industry to better serve the needs of their clients, bringing them the latest information and training available."

The NAHB sponsors 40-plus educational courses and 13 professional designations.

"NAHB's Educators of the Year do more than teach classes,” Orr added. “They inspire their students by sharing their personal experiences in the classroom and giving them new tools to be successful. They also motivate them to reach the next stage of their careers by encouraging them to earn an NAHB professional designation."
