A top manager with a New Mexico company has been named SMACNA’s Legislative Contractor of the Year.

Keith Wilson, chief executive officer of Miller Bonded Inc. in Albuquerque, N.M., received the award Monday during the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s annual conference in Las Vegas.

“The Legislative Contractor of the Year Award is the highest legislative honor a contractor may earn within our organization, and it is for Keith’s truly outstanding and ongoing legislative, political, and policy activism that we honor him today,” said Richard Rivera, SMACNA’s 2012 president. “Keith has met consistently with national legislative leaders in Washington, D.C., and in his home area and always makes his industry proud and more effective in the policy arena. Keith has been consistently recognized for his leadership on behalf of SMACNA and the industry."

Wilson is a non-stop worker for the association, Rivera said.

“Keith and Miller Bonded have been a high-profile combination with a commitment to legislative and political affairs at the local, state, and national levels, speaking out on business issues from energy efficiency to tax reform. Keith has long been an active and widely respected leader representing his association and industry at home in the state of New Mexico and at the nation’s Capital in legislative and political matters,” Rivera added. “He has long been a valued advocate for SMACNA and has been a highly respected member of SMACNA’s executive leadership on a wide variety of policy efforts.”
