Ariz. temperature contest starts
The competition invites the public to guess the first day the thermometer at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will reach 100°F.
The winner will receive a weekend stay at a Four Seasons resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“The contest is designed to be a fun way for people to get ready for the hot months ahead and to help them learn more about SMACNA Arizona’s member contractors and the quality, training and craftsmanship they provide,” said Carol Goguen, executive director of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s Arizona chapter.
Individuals can enter the contest at this website. One entry per person, per day is permitted.
Last year’s winner, Jessica McLeod of Ahwatukee, Ariz., guessed May 21.
