Michael Barry, president of Twin City Fan Cos. in Plymouth, Minn., was elected president of the Air Movement and Control Association International. The announcement was made at the association’s 55th annual meeting Oct. 14-17 in Aventura, Fla.

AMCA said Barry has been an active participant and supporter of the association. He has served on many committees within the association and has been a regular participant in the development of its policies and programs. During the past 23 years, Barry has served on several committees including the sales and marketing committee, speakers bureau, global utilization task force, and is currently a member of AMCA’s marketing committee.

In 2002, Barry joined the board of directors, and in the past six years has served on AMCA’s executive committee, where he held positions of director at large, treasurer and vice president.

Barry has been with Twin City Fan for over 35 years. He started working with the company in 1976 as a literature clerk and in 1984 he began working in the sales department. He became the director of marketing in 1993, the vice president of marketing in 1995, and promoted to his current position as president of Twin City Fan Cos. in 1999. The company is a family-owned business with approximately 1,200 employees worldwide.
