The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association handed out its Chapter Excellence Awards during its April 28-May 1 conference in Arlington, Va.

The awards are intended to recognize a chapter’s achievement in both management and service to PHCC members. The Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Texas was recognized in the category of state chapters with more than 200 members.

The Greater Indianapolis PHCC was recognized in the category of local associations with 26 to 50 members, while the St. Joe Valley PHCC in Indiana was recognized in the category of local associations with less than 25 members.

In addition, the Indiana PHCC received special recognition for innovative programs and services. Also, the Florida PHCC, Indiana PHCC and Pinellas PHCC chapters earned PHCC’s Distinguished Chapter designation for 2009.

The awards included both a permanent plaque for the chapter and a token of appreciation to the state or local executive director for overall achievement. The 2009 panel of judges was comprised of chapter relations executives from various construction-related trade associations.
