Midwest Tool and Cutlery Co. has purchased some
of the assets of Retterer Manufacturing Co. and its parent company Claridon
Tool and Die Inc. of Caledonia,
Ohio.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Retterer designs and manufactures specialty hand tools used by siding, fence and HVAC installers and technicians. Midwest Tool representatives say the company’s products will compliment the Midwest Snips products used by workers in these industries.
Todd Retterer has been retained as manager of the new Midwest Tool and Cutlery Co. tool and die division, which will remain at its present location in Caledonia. Retterer will continue to be involved in new-product development for the company.
