Carrier distributor helps Habitat for Humanity

Three families in Simi Valley, Calif., will move into new 1,200-square-foot homes this Thanksgiving thanks to Aladdin Air Conditioning & Heating Inc.
The company is a local Carrier Southern California Sales and Distribution Dealer that teamed up with the Ventura County chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
“Our team at Aladdin is delighted to be involved with Habitat for Humanity,” said Wayne Beck, president of Aladdin Air Conditioning & Heating. “Our business has always been committed to the community and we are happy to lend a hand to help those in need.”
Beck, a 34-year veteran in the HVAC industry, was first introduced to Habitat while doing installations at a local church. Influenced by the work the church was doing with Habitat, Beck decided to participate, along with his team at Aladdin.
Aladdin was asked to install three furnaces with ductwork. CSD Southern California not only donated the furnaces, but air conditioning units as well. Each brand new unit donated had a 14 seasonal energy-efficiency rating and Puron refrigerant.
“CSD Southern California went above and beyond what was asked of them and I could not be happier that they were willing to give so much,” Beck said. “In addition, every member of the Aladdin team has done their part with this project - from answering phones to ordering equipment, everyone has really come together to help, giving a real sense of pride and teamwork within our company.”
After the homes are completed, Beck and his team will have the opportunity to meet the families, all of whom are single parents with children.
Besides contributing to Habitat for Humanity, Aladdin also supports its local Little League and soccer teams, as well as the high school and college football teams. Beck donates to fundraisers and silent auctions at his son’s elementary school.
Aladdin has been recognized as a two-time Carrier President’s Award recipient, one of Carrier’s highest honors for its dealers, according to the company.
