Danfoss employees celebrate 75 years
November 1, 2008
Danfoss’ North American headquarters in Baltimore marked the company’s 75th anniversary by striking a pose.
Approximately 200 employees at the Baltimore facility received new polo shirts bearing the Danfoss logo and the No. 75, denoting the number of years since engineer Mads Clausen established the company in Denmark in 1933.
Employees then gathered for the photograph, posing in the shape of the numerals seven and five. The celebration continued with a birthday cake for all to enjoy.
“We wanted to take time out of our busy day to recognize this significant milestone in the life of our company and celebrate the achievements of our rich heritage,” said John Galyen, president of Danfoss’ refrigeration and air-conditioning division.
“And as we honored the accomplishments of the past, we found ourselves looking forward to the challenges of the next 75 years,” Galyen said. “We anticipate a pace of change that will come even faster than the pace we’ve experienced in recent years. Fortunately, we’re confident in our ability to respond to change, both locally and globally, in a time-sensitive way and deliver innovative solutions that will continue to improve the quality of life in an environmentally responsible way.”
