Ethisphere Magazine has named Danfoss to its list of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” for 2007.

The ranking is conducted by the Ethisphere Council, which examined 5,000 companies in 30 different industries across the globe. Council members interviewed corporate executive officers in a variety of industries, including industrial manufacturing, in which Danfoss was recognized.

The interviews covered topics such as litigation and controversy and conflict, innovation and industry leadership, corporate citizenship and governance and transparency.

Once the council collected the information, companies were scored relative to their industry peers. Danfoss shares this distinction with other global companies in other industries, including Nike, Toyota and Dole Foods.

“Danfoss is honored to again be recognized as a company that truly represents what it means to be an ethical leader in our industry and in the world,” said John Galyen, president of Danfoss Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, North America.

Earlier this year, Danfoss was named No. 12 on the list of 200 companies with the best corporate reputations in the world by the Reputation Institute’s 2007 RepTrak Pulse.
