Ridge Tool awards plasma TV
March 2, 2007
Ridge Tool Co. gave Todd Dies a 50-inch widescreen plasma television.
Dies, a purchasing agent at Griffen Plumbing and Heating in Elkhart, Ind., won it after entering the Ridgid ProPress XL-C promotion
The contest was held from May through August, and promoted the Ridgid ProPress XL-C, a pressing system for 2 1/2- to 4-inch copper pipe and tubing. The contest was promoted through advertisements in trade publications, counter displays, product sheets and the Ridgid Web site.
Dies, a Mishawaka, Ind., resident, was on the Web site looking for product information on pressing equipment. While visiting it, he noticed that the company was holding a contest and decided to fill out the online entry form. Two weeks after Dies entered the contest, a Ridgid representative called him to inform him that he was the contest winner.
“I purchase Ridgid pressing equipment because it saves our contractors time while on the jobsite. Ridgid products are durable, easy to use and reliable,” said Dies.
“The television is absolutely awesome,” he continued. “I was shocked that I won something of that value. My family and I were in the market for a new television, so I feel very lucky and grateful.”
“Ridgid is pleased with the success of the contest and the increased interest in Ridgid pressing equipment,” said Matt Ondrejko, director of marketing and alternate joining technologies for Ridge Tool.
