Bill and Patty Jones, and Orville and Doreen Taecker were named contractor founders of the PHCC Educational Foundation board of governors.

Composed of contractors, manufacturers and other industry partners who are major contributors to the educational foundation, the board is responsible for developing and providing educational programs for contractors and their employees.

Bill Jones founded Raven Mechanical in 1979 in Houston. Involved in training and education throughout his career, he was an accredited instructor for plumbing apprentices in the 1970s and as education chairman for the Texas Associated Builders and Contractors in the 1990s, he was instrumental in reinstating the Wheels of Learning, which trains apprentices for the construction industry.

Jones is a past state president of the Associated Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Texas and past trustee and chairman of the PHCC Construction Contractors Alliance.

Bill’s wife, Patty, has worked by her husband’s side in the business since its inception, and has held PHCC positions at the state and national levels. She is currently historian for the PHCC National Auxiliary. Their sons, Ray and Stephen, are executives with Raven Mechanical.

Orville Taecker started Andor Inc./Taecker Plumbing and Heating in 1957, operating out of his home with the help of his wife Doreen. The company now includes a retail store and showroom, a warehouse, and a sheet metal shop.

Taecker has served on the South Dakota PHCC board of directors and as president for two years, and was a PHCC-National Association board member for four years.

Sons Alan and Paul joined the company in 1978 and 1987, respectively.

“We are delighted to welcome Bill and Patty Jones and Orville and Doreen Taecker for the insight and dedication they bring to the foundation board,” said James T. Driscoll Jr., chairman of the foundation board.
