Air Products and Controls honored its "all-star distributors" during a Super Bowl XL celebration.
Several of the customers joined company President Jim Ludwig and Vice President of Sales Jerry Black for a VIP weekend Feb. 5 in Detroit.
The winning distributors were David Sharp and John Haggard of Air Cold Supply/Webb Distributors, Ron Campton of Air Specialty Products, Gary Brandt and Dan Gobell of Performance Air Conditioning, Sonny Hendrix of Reliance Components and Jim Mongeau of Space Age Electronics.
The celebration kicked off with a special meet-and-greet dinner including a surprise visit from 2005 NFL Hall of Fame candidate and former Buffalo Bills All-Pro running back Thurman Thomas.
Included in the weekend were excursions to the Chrysler Museum, which features hot rods, concept cars and other pieces of Chrysler car history, and a visit to the invite-only Maxim magazine party in downtown Detroit. On game day, APC provided corporate hospitality before and after the game with seats to watch the game.
The inaugural APC Distributor of the Year Award was presented to Ron Campton of Air Specialty Products during the meet-and-greet dinner. This year's award celebrates APC's first year of working directly with the HVAC wholesale distributor market.
APC manufactures duct smoke detectors and accessories, power supplies and packaged control relays.
