ANGLE GRIDER
December 3, 2004
Metabo Corp. 4 1/2- and 5-inch grinders
Metabo Corp. has upgraded seven of its angle grinders in an effort to provide 15 percent more power. The 4 1/2- and 5-inch grinders now feature an eight-amp motor versus the older seven-amp version. All upgraded grinders feature a motor with epoxy coating on the field coil and a winding protection grid to deflect airborne debris from the armature windings. Each grinder also provides up to 21 inch-pounds of torque and rated input watts of 900.
