Hanover, N.H.-based Hypertherm was showing off its new G3 Series of manual cutting systems. The Powermax1650 - the latest addition to the lineup - offers greater speed, longer parts life and lower overall operating costs, according to company officials. The unit's maximum cut capacity is 1.5-in., and it delivers gouging capabilities at a rate in excess of 22 lbs. per hour. The 1650 also features an active pilot arc for cutting expanded metal or grating, a patented easy torch removal system, and Auto-voltage? input sensing of 200 to 600 volts, three phase. No manual linking is required.
The company was also displaying new power supplies, torches and cut samples from Hypertherm's mechanized systems, including the Hypertherm HT2000, HT4400 and HD4070.
