The "Source Capture Hood Damper" uses a simple design to allow adjustment of airflow to meet the varying needs of the production process. For example, in high contaminant generation processes such as flux-core MIG welding, the damper can be set fully open, allowing the air cleaner to capture as much airborne dust, smoke, fume, mist, etc. as it can. But in applications where little airflow is required, such as TIG, the operator can adjust to allow just enough airflow to capture contaminants while eliminating unnecessary drafts. The "Source Capture Hood Damper" easily retrofits to many systems which use an 8-in. round flexible duct.
