RIMA study reveals doubling in reflective insulation sales.

Reflective-insulation and radiant-barrier products have doubled in sales from 1998 to 2003, and are projected to jump another 45 percent by 2008, according to a new study.

The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association announced the results of the 2004 study by the Fredonia Group.

The association said the study points to how more consumers are interested in energy-efficiency products.

RIMA said it also believes that although reflective and radiant-barrier products are presently a small segment of the insulation market, the technology is growing in popularity and will continue to do so as more information is made available to consumers.
