The Airguard DP and DP Max pleated filters have been upgraded from minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) 6 to MERV 7. The products are ideal for collecting dusts and particulate in a broad range of commercial and industrial applications, according to the company. The filters exceed the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers' Standard 62 air-cleaning specifications, making them suitable for installation upstream of cooling coils. The uncharged media is a blend of cotton and polyester fibers, and dust-holding capacity increases as the filter loads. The 4-inch deep pleats have individual die cut fingers that separate and stabilize each pleat for dust holding performance.
