York business training includes instruction on hiring, pricing, marketing and more.

NORMAN, Okla. - Service and financial operations are the subjects of six contractor "boot camps" York International Corp. is offering its dealers throughout the rest of the year.

Presented as part of the company's Business Training University, the weeklong meetings are a series of workshops by industry professionals. The York team of instructors consists of contractors and trainers.

"The camps are unique because the instructors work side by side with the participants to make sure they grasp the content and take what they have learned back to their co-workers," said Jeff Revlett, York North America training manager. "Our objective is to help our dealers improve their profits as well as their performance."

Workshop topics include service and maintenance performance measurements, pricing, service department operations, hiring and training, and marketing residential and commercial service programs.

Three boot camps have already taken place in Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma City. Financial operations will be the focus of boot camps Nov. 19-21 in Chicago, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Las Vegas and Dec. 7-9 in Nashville, Tenn.
