The host of “Cosmos” and the “StarTalk” podcast is schedule to appear at 11 a.m. Nov. 10.

More than 25,000 are expected for the event, which promotes sustainable construction including green HVAC.

"Our member-established mission underscores our mandate to serve humanity and create a more sustainable world," said American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers President Tim Wentz.

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council promotes the use of green HVAC refrigerants. 

The U.S. Green Building Council’s “LEED in Motion: Hospitality” report says 109 million square feet of hotel space is already green certified.

 Its rate of growth is faster than the overall construction market, the authors say.  

 The program honors projects, developers and builders for single- and multifamily green building, including homes that feature green HVAC construction.
