Carrier's world headquarters, the UTC Center for Intelligent Buildings, is the first commercial building in Florida to earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Platinum v4 certification.
After extensive testing and evaluation, Carrier has selected R-454B, sold as Opteon XL41 from the Chemours Company, to replace R-410A in ducted residential and light commercial packaged products in North America starting in 2023.
Carrier is participating in the National Apartment Association’s Maintenance Mania competition with the addition of the Carrier challenge, which pits residential HVAC technicians against each other to complete tasks related to airflow in air conditioners.
Carrier has donated more than 500 ductless HVAC systems to Habitat for Humanity this year. To celebrate the gifts, the HVAC manufacturer has teamed up with pro football legend and longtime Habitat for Humanity support Warrick Dunn in Atlanta.
