Time is going fast. Snips has wrapped its December issue and we
are hard at work on our January issue, which will give you a preview of this
year’s AHR Expo in Chicago.
Our December issue, as always,
is an industry outlook. We take a look back at the year and try to get some
predictions on the year ahead. Some of the experts I talked to for the article
said 2012 is going to look a lot like 2011.
I’ve been
writing these December outlook stories for quite some time, and I have to be
honest, I’ve been hearing that for the past several years. The year ahead is
going to almost mirror the past year. The construction industry is still going
to struggle, credit will be hard to come by, and bids will get more and more
competitive.
However, it’s not all bad news. Some experts
expect we are hitting the end of the downturn. Contractors just need to start
harnessing technology to compete in the marketplace.
I want
to know how you are doing. Tell us. Maybe you have some good news. Maybe you
have a positive spin on the year ahead. Perhaps your company has been thriving
and 2012 is only going to get better. Give us good news. You can leave a
comment or e-mail me atsiegelj@bnpmedia.com. If you have some good advice or a
positive story to share, we might just run it in the pages of Snips.
