Recently I had the pleasure of attending the western regional meeting for HARDI. The event was a great way for members of the Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International to hear about a number of topics that could impact their business. One of the highlights of the event, at least in my opinion, was the economic outlook.

An economist for HARDI said that 2012 is improving. It is improving slowly, but definitely heading in the right direction. Not only has the housing market stabilized, but new home construction is starting to rise again and unemployment numbers keep coming down. Unless something catastrophic happens, 2012 will end on a high note. It will also usher in positive growth in 2013.

No one is saying that times are great right now, but there are glimmers of hope. Let us know how you are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Or if you want to contradict the HARDI economists, tell us why you don’t see the economy getting better. We always like to hear your opinions.
