Many of my friends and relatives back
east are surprised when I tell them it is cold in San Francisco. For some reason, people just
assume that California
is always warm and sunny. That may be the case in Southern
California, but not here on the foggy
coast.
With that in mind, the temperature has been dropping
during the night, and the morning chill makes getting out of bed a rude
awakening. But it is only October and I refuse to crank up the heater. I know
as soon as I give in my next utility bill will be through the
roof.
I’m sure I’m not the only one out there going through
the same dilemma. This got me thinking that there may also be some people out
there that also refuse to get their furnace checked and ready for winter. Is
anyone seeing this? What do you do when customers are holding out on servicing
their furnace or holding out on repairs to save a few bucks? Let me know what
is going on in your area and if you or someone you know is keeping the
thermostat off.
