Economists say construction WILL bounce back -- really. Eventually, anyway.
The U.S. recession has officially ended, according to new government reports, but many attendees at recent conventions I've gone to haven't been told, apparently.
Things are still quite slow in construction -- and expected to stay that way for some time. From the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors' National Association to Metalcon and wholesaler groups, many member companies say they're experiencing a big downturn.
Two experts I heard at two different recent conventions had similar opinions -- good times are coming, but it will be a slow, multi-year process before constrcution is on solid footing. In the meanwhile, just hang on and use this time to become more efficient.
So what are you doing during this downturn to reduce expenses or grow your business?
For the good times
