We're here at the AHR Expo at the Javits Center in Manhattan. The show has been bustling all morning, with plenty of contractors willing to endure the bitter cold of the last two days to see the latest in HVAC and sheet metal equipment.

Yesterday, Mr. Sheet Metal had the pleasure of meeting Bobby Flay, the celebrity chef, at his restaurant, Mesa Grill. Karen Coppins, Snips' production manager, had the misfortune of being hit with a butter knife dropped by a patron sitting in the mezzanine (Don't worry; she wasn't injured).

After a little beer was dropped on our table by another upstairs patron, the manager sent out Flay himself to apologize.

It made Karen's day. Mr. Sheet Metal was only somewhat impressed.

The restaurant's spiral ductwork, however, was divine.
