I've haven't seen as much about copper thefts in the media lately, but it seems thieves haven't forgot about the metal. A Greenville, S.C., TV station reports that buildings' HVAC systems are still getting hit, even though there isn't always a lot of copper to be had inside them.

They also suggest adding fences and additional lighting to discourage thieves. I have a question for those of you with copper thefts in your areas -- which seems to be almost everyone: How do you discourage them? Here's a link to the story: www.wyff4.com/news/1478682/detail.html.
