Merry Beth Hall is the assistant vice president for workforce development for the PHCC Educational Foundation. Since 2005, Hall has been responsible for the foundation’s apprentice and journeyman training programs. She previously served as the PHCC of Virginia chapter executive director. Hall is currently the co-chairwoman of the technical committee for the National SkillsUSA plumbing contest.
When the U.S. Department of Labor specifically authorized the use of electronic media for apprenticeship-related instruction in its 2008 regulations revisions, it opened the door for growing apprenticeship around the country.
