Calling upon skills taught at the Sheetmetal Ductwork Fabrication School in Burkeville, Virginia, students Tony (left), Nick (right) planned, fabricated, assembled and installed transitions and plenums to achieve a supply and return unit replacement.

Jackie Price, a sheet metal instructor of more than 27 years, founded the Sheetmetal Ductwork Fabrication School after retiring in 2009. Over three days, students learn basic principles of sheet metal fabrication, layout, and how to properly use HVAC tools and metal fabrication machinery. Classes are open to anyone who wants to learn “hands-on” sheet metal fabrication skills, says Price.

The next course is scheduled for November 2019. For more information on how to register, visit sheetmetalductworkfabricationschool.com.
