The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. has promoted Nazme Mohsina to the position of technical director.

Mohsina will help lead AMCA’s laboratory, located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, in addition to continuing to administer the association’s certified ratings program (CRP).

Mohsina joined AMCA in 2011 as certification/project engineer. Her responsibilities were to ensure manufacturer ratings developed for the CRP are based on standardized testing. Additionally, she developed software tools to ease the certification process, serving on the laboratory-accreditation team, auditing national and international manufacturer test laboratories, and providing to staff members training and guidance in testing according to AMCA standards.

“Nazme earned this opportunity,” AMCA executive director Mark Stevens adds. “Two important aspects of leadership are competency and congruency between how you act and what’s important to you. Nazme pegs the needle in both of those areas, and I’ve got a lot of confidence in her.”
