Associated Builders and Contractors and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals signed an agreement during ABC’s annual convention to promote construction workplace safety and health.

The organizations will work to develop and promote information that makes job sites more secure, they said. Other duties include stressing career opportunities, strengthening college recruitment efforts, establishing certification programs, participating in health events and spreading research findings on the subject.

“ABC and BCSP both value responsibility, accountability and integrity in the profession and the safety professional,” said board President Linda Martin. “This agreement will provide employers and the members of the workforce with new pathways to strengthen safety, demonstrating commitment to our shared values through education, certification and professional development.”
