Semco’s updated Neuton Multiple Zone chilled beam pump module now has the ability to control active chilled beams in up to five small rooms — averaging 120 square feet each — in office buildings, hospitals, schools and other commercial buildings. Company officials say this cuts chilled beam control equipment and installation costs by 60 percent. A winner of a 2016 AHR Innovation Award, the Neuton Multiple Zone features thermostat-controlled valves that can be installed in a labor- and material-saving manifold configuration near the pump module or individually near each chilled beam. Chilled beam retrofits and new-construction projects are suitable applications. Smaller boiler and chiller sizes are also available.
