Builders and projects from Florida, Oregon and Illinois are among the recipients of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Home Awards, which recognizes sustainable developers and architects nationwide.

“Homes provide more than just shelter. As demonstrated by the slate of LEED Homes Award recipients, LEED homes improve the health and wellbeing of the occupants while saving energy, environmental resources and money,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO of the USGBC. “This year we praise the innovative and integrative LEED Homes’ honorees for advancing the residential green building movement.”

2016 recipients include multifamily, single family and affordable housing projects. Projects certified under the association’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design building rating program at all levels are eligible.
