Frigidaire HVAC has redesigned its F series air conditioners and heat pumps, changing the units from featuring a one-piece jacket to panels made to be easier for HVAC technicians to remove or replace.

“By making service simpler for contractors, we are improving the homeowner experience,” said Tim Alford, product manager at Frigidaire HVAC. “It can make installation and servicing go easier and faster for the contractor, potentially reducing the costs for the customer.”

Other features include redesigned corner posts and crown top pans, screw holes made to resist stripping and improved drainage.

The newly designed units are available in 1.5- to 5-ton sizes. Details are at www.frigidairehvac.com.
