York’s high-efficiency Affinity variable-capacity residential systems from Johnson Controls feature inverter-driven variable-capacity technology, which dynamically adjusts capacity and airflow. Company officials say its Energy Star Most Efficient-qualified YXV air conditioners and YZV heat pumps, which have ratings up to 20 SEER, can reduce energy costs by as much as 50 percent compared to older 10-SEER units. The new systems also feature York’s built-in Charge Assurance monitoring as well as homeowner comfort perks, such as QuietDrive for quieter operating sounds; Climate Set for more accurate home temperature and climate control; and ClimaTrak, which offers fine-tuning of the blower depending on each application.
