Johnson Controls has acquired M&A Supply Co. Inc.’s five York branches in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The branches will become part of the Source 1 HVAC Supply network. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This acquisition is in line with our growth strategy and will allow us to accelerate the growth in these key HVAC markets,” said Liz Haggerty, vice president and general manager of the unitary products group at Johnson Controls. “It will also allow M&A to focus on its core markets of Tennessee and Alabama, and continue to grow the York brand by expanding its networks in those markets.”

Source 1 is the York distributor of factory-authorized service parts and residential accessories for all Johnson Control unitary products in residential and light-commercial HVAC market equipment.

“This is an exciting time for us as we continue to invest in new products and ensure that we have the strongest channels to drive market share growth,” said Dave Smithey, vice president and general manager of Source 1 HVAC Supply Centers at Johnson Controls’ unitary products group.
