Marketair's Pipe Prop, an adjustable rooftop piping support system for HVAC, plumbing, roofing and electrical applications, has received a certificate of listing from the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials.

Manufactured by JMB Industries in Fort Worth, Texas, the system’s APS-1, APS-2 and the USPP models now carry IAPMO's Uniform Plumbing Code symbol and comply with IAPMO IGC 331-2016, the association’s standard for adjustable pipe support systems.

Marketair, an Edison, New Jersey-based supplier of HVAC industry components and accessories, is Pipe Prop's master representative agent for the U.S., excluding Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Officials said the IAPMO certification is the second major code approval success for Pipe Prop after achieving two Notices of Acceptance for building products approved in high-velocity hurricane zones from the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Each Pipe Prop unit includes a durable and UV-resistant polymer base, pipe saddle with nylon strap fasteners or self-locking straps, and a high-performance adhesive for secure installations on most flat roof types. The piping support system has been third-party tested for more than 4,500 hours, and officials said it can withstand wind loads up to 184 mph.
