Ten days before the Minnesota Vikings’ home opener, the new U.S. Bank Stadium was filled with spectators.

But they weren’t there to watch the Vikings practice. Attendees were brought to the stadium’s Hyundai Club Sept. 8 by Sheet Metal Connectors Inc. to see the company’s HVAC construction products that are used throughout the 1.75 million-square-foot building. Sheet Metal Connectors manufactured the spiral duct for the project, including some 2,500 feet of spiral up to 84 inches in diameter.

Besides food and beverages, the predicted 1,200 attendees of the industry partners party were given tours of the stadium and a chance to see performances by the Vikings’ cheerleaders. Money was also raised for the Vikings Children’s Fund, a charity that provides health, education and family services in the region.
