Technology experts, management consultants and pricing advisers are among the experts HARDI has booked for its October leadership conference in Rhode Island.
The Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International’s Strategic Leadership Focus Conference will take place Oct. 2-4 in Newport, Rhode Island. Aimed at managers, the speakers are designed to help members grow their skills and companies. 

Among those scheduled to appear:

Beth Ziesenis, who will present “A Day in the Life of a Nerdy HARDI Official.” This keynote presentation will explore how to use technology to make your work life easier. 

HARDI lobbyist John Melchi and labor attorney Pam Krivda will discuss federal regulations that affect the HVAC distribution industry, including overtime, energy efficiency and sick leave.
Management expert and author Bruce Tulgan will talk about what companies can do to boost employee morale and improve productivity during “Fight the Under-Management Epidemic.”

HARDI CEO Talbot Gee will give his opinions on where the industry may be heading during “Questions I’d be Asking if I Were on Your Board.” Gee will use his experience in the HVAC market and other industries to explore what companies may need to do to succeed. 

Pricing expert Paul Hunt will explain how to improve profits by using value-based pricing and other strategies.
